Standardized Tests

Please self-report all tests taken or plan to take in this section. Once you have e-submitted, you will be able to add additional tests as well as update the ones marked “plan to take”, but you will not be able to update or delete any completed tests.

NursingCAS does not require self-reported test scores to be listed in order for your application to be completed. However, be sure to contact your designated schools as they may require scores to be reported to make their application complete.

OFFICIAL GRE SCORES

GRE Scores are submitted electronically to NursingCAS directly from ETS using a special school-specific NursingCAS GRE code. PAPER COPIES ARE NOT ACCEPTED. There is not one NursingCAS GRE code; each school has it’s own NursingCAS code, which is different than the school’s regular GRE code. If you select a code to have your scores sent to, only the school with that code can see your scores.

Official GRE scores from ETS can be received by NursingCAS at any point during the application cycle, even after your application has been e-submitted or verified. However, some school may have a deadline by which they want your scores posted.

IMPORTANT: Once your Official GRE scores are attached to your application, they can NOT be removed should you decide you no longer want your schools to view them. Determine whether you would like your GRE scores to be a part of your NursingCAS application BEFORE requesting them to be sent.

Not all schools have a NursingCAS ETS code. Review the list below to determine if your school has a NursingCAS code. If it does, use this code to request your scores. If your school is NOT on this list, contact them directly to determine how they would like you to report your GRE scores.

HOW TO SEND YOUR OFFICIAL GRE SCORES TO NURSINGCAS:

1. Review the LIST OF NURSINGCAS GRE CODES above to determine your school’s NursingCAS code. Each school has its own code; if you are applying to multiple schools, you must supply each individual code to ETS. If you only provide one code, only that school will be able to view your GRE scores via NursingCAS.

2. Supply the code to ETS and request that your scores be released. According to ETS, it takes them a maximum of 10-12 business days (not counting weekends and holidays) to release a score to NURSINGCAS  once they have been requested. If you have just taken the test, they report a turnaround of 12-15 business days.

3.  After the ETS 10 business day processing, test scores are sent to NursingCAS in batches and uploaded every 2-3 days. Please note that only the scores you requested using NursingCAS codes will post to your NursingCAS application. If you used a NursingCAS code for some schools and a regular GRE code for others, only the NursingCAS  code scores will  display on your application. You can view which scores have been attached to your NursingCAS application by clicking the “Check Status” tab and clicking “Standardized Tests.” A list of each school’s scores we have received will display here.

4. If your scores have not posted after the normal processing period, contact ETS and determine the BATCH # your scores were sent in. Then contact NursingCAS customer service and provide them with this batch #. We will use this batch # to determine if this batch has been received yet by NursingCAS, and if so, search the batch for your scores. If your scores are not found, NursingCAS will contact ETS to determine why they were not provided to us in the batch # reported to you. It is your responsibility to follow up on any missing GRE scores in a timely manner.

IMPORTANT: If your NAME or DATE OF BIRTH appears differently on your GRE than it does on NursingCAS, your scores will NOT post automatically to your account. Filling out the “alternate name” section of the application will NOT correct this. This most often happens with applicants who have punctuation in their names, as the GRE does NOT use hyphens, apostrophes, etc in their names. If your name is different on the test or contains punctuation, or if you have made an error entering your date of birth information, wait the 10-12 day processing time and call NursingCAS customer service. We can look up your name and manually connect your test score to your application.
